Our Story
Follow Gowrie Creek down through the history and evolution of the Gowrie Station.
WHERE THE STORY BEGINS
Long before roads were laid or boundaries were drawn, this part of the Darling Downs was known for its waterways and the freshwater mussels found along its creeks including Gowrie Creek, Oakey Creek and Condamine River.
These freshwater mussels were know by their indigenous name cowarie.
A EVOLUTION OF PLACE
Over time, this land shifted from open grass country to working pastoral holdings. Growing and changing through the seasons and changing of hands.
The name Gowrie Station belonged to a broader rural property in the area, a place defined by open acreage, agricultural life and the kind of practical calm that only wide land can offer.
A NEW CHAPTER
Now, Gowrie Station steps into a new chapter. Honouring the land and extending the lifestyle.
A setting where mornings feel slower, air feels clearer, and life opens up with opportunity and space to breathe. Country calm within minutes of Highfields and Toowoomba.
A Place to Call Home
Gowrie Station offers more than lots and land, it offers a feeling. Not just a place to build a house but to create a home.
A place to breathe.
A place to grow.
A place that carries the story of what this land has been, while shaping what it can now become.
A new chapter, grounded in heritage, designed for modern, country calm yet connected living.
A place where you don’t just find space, you find belonging.
